About me
I have always loved fabrics, and made my first quilt while in high school. I continued to foster this love throughout my education, achieving degrees in apparel design and merchandising/textiles. Thousands of quilts later, I still love to create.
My career in the fabric industry includes experience in fabric stores, retail management, quilt shop ownership, and as a professional longarm quilter. I excel in computerized as well as stand up and sit down free-motion quilting, winning many ribbons at local and national shows. I love my HQ Avanté®, HQ Capri, HQ Forte® and HQ Pro-Stitcher®.
My teaching career includes experience as a college instructor, a quilting teacher for local guilds and retail shops, and an instructor at national and international machine quilting shows.
I live in NW Washington, have two grown children, and a very supportive husband.
